Breeding-site Fidelity When it comes time to reproduce, many animal species breed and bear young in any nearby habitat that has suitable conditions. In some species, however, individuals keep returning to the same breeding site repeatedly whenever they reproduce, a phenomenon known as breeding-site fidelity. Animals that exhibit breeding-site fidelity may need to expend effort to make a particular breeding site suitable for their young, so it may be more efficient to return to a previously prepared site than to prepare a new site. However, if an attempt to breed at a particular site does not produce offspring that survive, the parent animals learn not to reuse that site in the future.

5.语言使用Original Answer: Breeding site fragility Breeding-site fidelity (词汇错误,应为fidelity而非fragility) is a phenomenon that individuals keep return returning (动词形 式错误,应为现在分词returning) to same breeding sites repetitively when they breed. For example, the kind of bird chicken-like is called Monifilis Malleefowl (拼写错误,应为Malleefowl而非Monifilis). They keep to breed in the same hill to lay eggs, when they lay eggs, they shape the hill with a really thick mound, and it's really large that the female bird can lay eggs in this mound for a long time, and the male bird will keep for gathering food, so it's more easily for the eggs to be hatched, and they will went back every time when they lay the egg, but if the place is found by the predators, they won't use it again, and they will find a new place for breeding.
Revised Answer (140 words):
Breeding-site fidelity is a phenomenon where individuals keep returning to the same breeding sites repeatedly when they reproduce. For example, a ground-dwelling Australian bird called Malleefowl exhibits this behavior. Malleefowl pairs work together to build a large mound on a hill for egg-laying. The mound is made of soil and leaves and is large enough for the female to lay up to 30 eggs. The male bird helps maintain the mound while the female focuses on producing high-quality eggs. After the eggs hatch, the Malleefowl pair may leave the mound and wander far away in search of food. However, they generally return to the same mound for the next breeding season. If predators discover the mound and consume their eggs, the Malleefowl will abandon that mound and build a new one in a safer location for future breeding.

Original: So breeding subfertilities that usually animals tend to breed in a nearby habitat that has suitable conditions, but some animals tend to go back to the same place to reproduce. So in the listening, the professor uses a male fowl as the example. Both male and female male fowl build a large mouth together, and it must be large enough to allow female to lay 30 eggs in it. And when it's the reproduction season, they will go back to the same male for reproduce. And when it's the season that they have to go out for food, they are leaving. But once the predator appears nearby the male, they will tend to leave the male, abandon the male, and construct a new male that has safety conditions.
Corrected: So breeding subfertilities site fidelity (繁殖地忠诚度) is when animals usually breed in a nearby habitat with suitable conditions, but some animals return to the same place to reproduce. In the listening, the professor uses male fowl malleefowl (玛丽福鸟) as an example. Both male and female malleefowl build a large mouth mound (土堆) together, which must be large enough for the female to lay 30 eggs in it. During the reproduction season, they return to the same male mound to reproduce. When they need to search for food, they leave the mound. However, if a predator appears near the male mound, they will abandon it and construct a new, safer mound.
Revised (140 words): Breeding site fidelity is when animals usually breed in nearby habitats with suitable conditions, but some animals return to the same place to reproduce. In the listening, the professor uses malleefowl as an example. Both male and female malleefowl work together to build a large mound, which must be large enough for the female to lay up to 30 eggs. During the reproduction season, they return to the same mound to reproduce. When they need to search for food, they leave the mound. However, if a predator appears near the mound, they will abandon it and construct a new, safer mound. This example demonstrates breeding site fidelity because malleefowl return to their previously built mound for reproduction unless there is a threat from predators. In such cases, they adapt by building a new mound in a safer location.
