The number of overweight children in many places has doubled in recent years. Causes of obesity in children include unhealthy food choices, lack of physical activity and family eating habits. This rise in the number of overweight children is disturbing, because it causes health problems and can lead to social problems. Overweight children are more likely to be teased by their peers or to develop low self-esteem or body image problems. What do you think of this phenomenon? Do you think the negligence of parents is the main cause of childhood obesity? Zoe For me, there are other reasons that contribute to the obesity rate in children. School-age children spend most of their time at school without their parents around. They eat three meals a day at school, so the school should be primarily responsible. I heard that some schools collaborate with McDonald's to provide children with lunches such as hamburgers and fried chicken. Therefore, children have developed the habit of eating foods containing high calorie since childhood, which is likely to leads to weight issues. Kelly Well, parents should take primary responsibility for their children's physical problems. A lot of children develop obesity because their parents don’t know how to choose or prepare healthy foods. There are also parents buying whatever their kids like. Thus, children eat fattening foods on a daily basis and develop unhealthy eating habits from a young age.

Kelly has presented a compelling argument that the primary resposibility should be taken by parents for the problem of children's obesity.Admittedly, children will develop unhealty eating habits and getting fat if thier parents do not prepare healthy food for them or do not forbid them of those junk food. However, taking the condition of the society these days into cinsideration,I am inclined to prioritize the stress in children's daily life as the main reason for their being overweight. For instance,as the school asignment increasing to be more heavy, children has less time to take exercise and relax. Therefore,I strongly beleave that, the stress is the main reason causing kids' obesity.

Section Title: 6.文章修订
Revised Essay:
Zoe posits that factors beyond parental negligence contribute to the rising obesity rates in children, suggesting that schools hold primary responsibility due to their provision of unhealthy meals. Indeed, school-age children consume most of their daily meals at school, and some institutions even collaborate with fast-food chains like McDonald's to offer calorie-dense lunches. Consequently, children develop a preference for high-calorie foods from a young age, potentially leading to weight issues.
On the other hand, Kelly argues that parents should assume primary responsibility for their children's physical well-being. She contends that many children become obese because their parents lack knowledge about selecting and preparing healthy foods or indulge their children's unhealthy cravings. As a result, these youngsters develop poor eating habits early in life.
In response to the professor's question, I believe that both factors play a significant role in childhood obesity; however, I would like to emphasize the impact of stress on children's health. Considering the societal pressures faced by today's youth, it is crucial to acknowledge that increased academic demands leave them with little time for physical activity and relaxation. This sedentary lifestyle exacerbates weight gain and can lead to obesity.
In conclusion, while parental negligence and school meal choices undoubtedly contribute to childhood obesity rates, it is essential not to overlook the role of stress and lack of exercise in exacerbating this issue. By addressing all these factors holistically, we can work towards creating healthier environments for our children. (246 words)
