As part of our module on urbanization and rural-to-urban migration, we are examining factors that influence where people choose to live. Many people migrate from rural areas to cities for economic reasons. However, some continue living in rural areas despite fewer job opportunities. For this discussion, please explain in a post what you think are the main reasons people choose to live in rural areas rather than moving to urban areas.
Student A
I believe a major reason some people choose to live in rural areas rather than urban centers is the quieter, slower-paced lifestyle. Rural living typically has less noise from traffic and crowds. The quiet allows more relaxation and connection with nature. The less hurried pace of rural life appeals to those wanting to escape the stress of urban environments
Student B
I think a major appeal of living in rural areas is the natural environment and air quality The air tends to be cleaner and fresher with less pollution from factories, cars, and high population density. For people who value the ability to breathe fresh air, grow gardens and spend time outdoors, rural living provides a healthier lifestyle. The scenic, less-congested environment offers a higher quality of life that can outweigh economic factors for some

From my point of view, the main reason that let people to choose living in rural area is the living environment. A good environment can make people have a positive emotion. Living in urban areas people will be depress when they face the buildings of concrete and steel everyday and there was only a few place for people to relax. However living in countryside people can spend time taking a walk while enjoying the natural scenery, it’s a good way to relax both body and mind. Take my friend Emma who moved from urban into countryside as an example, the reason for her to move was just because she likes to plant flowers since it is the good way for her to release the stress. But the department in city was too small for her to have a garden. So she moved to the rural area where she can live in a house with a garden and she said that watering the flowers every day makes her feel that life is full of beauty and hope. Therefore, in my opinion people moving to the country because they are enough of the repression of city life and want to enjoy the relaxed pace of life.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my perspective, the primary motivation for individuals to opt for rural living over urban areas is the overall environment. A pleasant environment can foster positive emotions and contribute to one's well-being. Urban dwellers often face a monotonous landscape of concrete and steel structures, with limited spaces for relaxation. In contrast, rural living offers opportunities to enjoy natural scenery and engage in outdoor activities, providing both physical and mental relaxation.
For instance, my friend Emma relocated from an urban setting to the countryside primarily due to her passion for gardening as a stress-reliever. The limited space in her city apartment did not allow her to maintain a garden. Consequently, she moved to a rural area where she could reside in a house with ample garden space. Emma claims that tending to her flowers daily fills her life with beauty and hope. Thus, I believe that individuals gravitate towards rural living as they seek respite from the constraints of city life and yearn for a more relaxed pace of existence. (174 words)
