When it comes to the space exploration, it brings heavy financial pressure to government’s debts. Correspondingly, some people purport that it’s not necessary for government to sponsor the space exploration, suggesting that government should stop investing too much money on space exploration. In my own perspective, however, I strongly advocate that government should sponsor space exploration in order to show the country’s advanced technology and increase their general status in the international competition because the development in the space exploration is a essential pattern of a country’s comprehensive national capabilities. For instance, as a universally known fact, the space exploration is a difficult area to study. The first country which achieved to send human on the moon is America, realizing a nearly impossible task for most of other countries. This event not only symbolized the strong national capability of the America, but also did it enable America to become the strongest country that’s acknowledged. Therefore, sponsoring space exploration, government can provide the scientists a platform to develop the most advanced technology throughout the country. The overall status of the country in the world can be improved with developing space technology, so I believe it’s necessary for government to sponsor the space exploration.
